About Kimberley Nordic Club
Our History
Recreational Cross Country Skiing was conducted in Kimberley for several decades on the mining exploration trails at the base of North Star Mountain before the initial nordic trail (Centennial) was constructed. Over the years the trail system was expanded such that now the Kimberley Nordic Club trail network is a first class facility consisting of a variety of snowcat groomed trails complete with primary trails that allow skate and classic skiing.
The modern facility includes a comfortable 1,200 sq ft lodge with washrooms, a racer's warming/waxing hut, 30 km of groomed double track trails, a 3.3 kilometre lit loop for night skiing, a 1.0 km lit sprint loop and 6.5 km of single track trails. The facility also has some trails specifically constructed to be Paralympic skiing friendly.
